January 11 Club Meeting

Guest speaker is a surprise but he has a bunch of goodies for us to see. Well we all know who our speaker was now, it was our own Wendell Cox all the way down here from Indiana. Welcome Wendell!

February 8 Club Meeting

Drawing for the 2010 Digging Dixie Classic Invitational Raffle and we will also be having a swap and trade. So bring in all those items you want to trade, sell, swap or give away and lets have some fun! By the way the list of prohibited articles in the restaurant is guns, cars, husbands, motorcycles, wives, and horses. All of these items must be traded outside.

March 8 Club Meeting

Relicus Maximus also known as Joe has agreed to give us a presentation with a focus on helping the members learn the how to’s of relic hunting. He is going to cover topics such as research, maps, reading the ground, identifying your finds, and cleaning them. This promises to be an extremely interesting and timely meeting since several of our members are going to the Digging Dixie Classic at the end of the month.

April 12 Club Meeting

Guest Speaker for this meeting will be Mr. Charlie Harris from American Digger magazine fame. He will be telling us about the 1930’s find of the Lookout Mountain Cave guns. He is currently writing this story out for a book format. Following Charlie’s talk we have by my count about 10 members who are going to North Carolina for the relic hunt, I thought this would be a great time to hear some stories and tales from the Digging Dixie Classic and review our club member’s find.
